The role

Magnify brings the power of the latest AI, ML, and large-scale data architectures to transform the customer experience in software. The Developer will develop microservices, machine learning services, data handling, communication and integration components that enable Magnify’s post-sales orchestration platform.

This is a remarkable opportunity for someone with back-end skills and cloud expertise to make a significant difference in early product development at our company. Magnify needs problem solvers who like to automate and optimize, enjoy simplifying complexity and know how to experiment.   

Magnify will depend on the person in this position to make daily technical decisions, contribute code, support deployment and operations, and participate in design and quality discussions. Initial responsibilities include building out system microservices, implementing customer-facing and internal interfaces, developing cloud services, supporting application integrations and working with the data science team to build models and simulations.

As one of the first hires at a venture-track company, this role provides an opportunity to grow with the company and to have real impact with enormous upside.  


  • Communication:  Brings a proven ability to communicate with team members and to engage in  creative, thoughtful and energetic discussions with others.
  • Technology:  Has well-honed fundamental technical skills, including multi-language coding (e.g. python, Node.js, sql/nosql), architecture and algorithms. Should have cloud infrastructure experience (e.g. AWS, Azure or GCP), especially microservices, streaming services, security and data services. Familiarity with machine learning operations (ML expertise not required), quality and security coding practices, and standard lifecycle/project management tools.  
  • Bias for action:  Self-starting with a demonstrated practice of product engineering, gap filling, development versatility and doing what is needed to solve problems.
  • Culture:  Strong team player, true character, always learning, curious, good judgement, scrappy, smart, good humored and a tolerance for ambiguity.


  • BS or better in computer science, engineering or related field 
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in software development 
  • Prior startup experience is preferred
