Magnify is a Madrona-backed startup developing a next-generation orchestration platform for the post-sales industry. Over 90% of revenue for most companies comes after the initial sale, but the customer experience is fragmented and siloed across multiple technology platforms and teams. Magnify uses AI/ML along with a modern microservices architecture to transform that experience to drive adoption, retention, and expansion for our customers. Magnify's initial customers are enterprise Chief Customer Officers and VP’s of Customer Success. These executives are challenged to scale the teams and drive performance across increasing numbers of customers and end-users, but struggle with fragmented technologies and manual processes. Magnify meets them at their point of need and solves their critical challenges in this large and growing market of over 4 million CS professionals.

The role

Magnify is looking for a talented and driven UX designer to join our mission to transform post-sales. You will take complex tasks and make them intuitive and easy to use. Throughout the design process — from creating user flows and wireframes to building user interface mockups and prototypes — you’ll envision how people will experience our product, and bring that vision to life. You’ll report directly to the CEO, partnering closely with product managers, researchers, engineers, data scientists, marketers, other internal stakeholders, and customers to create the Magnify product and evolve the experience as we grow. 

As one of the first hires at a venture-track company, this role provides an opportunity to grow with the company and to have real impact with enormous upside.

Qualifications

  • Creator & builder – attention to detail is a must. You have the ability to create an inspired and refined experience for our customers. You have command of all aspects of UX design, including expert interaction design, wireframing & user-flow definition, lightweight prototyping, and visual design. Expert skills with modern design tools (Figma, Adobe, your favorite prototyping tools, etc.)
  • Problem solver – both creative and analytical. Exceptional at compiling qualitative and quantitative data to fully understand a problem space. You are highly effective at finding and implementing solutions, then iterating 
  • Communicator – collaborates effectively with multiple stakeholders, with the ability to clearly articulate design strategies and the reasoning behind solutions 
  • Customer-centric – believes that customers are at the center of all great products. Not only engages with customers frequently, but you are willing to be the “voice of the customer.” You have familiarity with UX research best practices and can help accelerate learning through scrappy methods
  • Culture fit – outstanding character, team player, candid, always learning, curious, good judgment, smart, good-humored, and a tolerance for ambiguity
  • Portfolio – highlight multiple projects that demonstrate relevant experiences. Please clarify your role, process, and results/learnings from your work examples

Experience

  • Experience designing enterprise software / SaaS preferred. Bonus for experience with analytics and automation workflow applications
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in UX design within agile software development environments across multiple platforms and devices 
  • Bachelor's degree in Design, HCI or relevant field
  • Prior startup experience is preferred
