Who are we?

Madrona Venture Labs (MVL) is the startup studio and incubation arm of Madrona Venture Group – the leading venture capital firm in the Pacific Northwest. We build ambitious, innovative companies in the domains of AI-driven applications, automation, digital transformation of consumer experiences, and the future of work. Our team hustles and builds alongside new founders to turn their ideas into venture-scale businesses.

Life here is fast-paced, challenging, and a whole lot of fun. If you want to be an entrepreneur, MVL is the opportune place for you to learn the fundamentals of what it takes to build a technology startup from day 0.

To learn more about MVL, check out our Manifesto.

Who are you?

As an intern with MVL, you will get a seat at the table as our team scales out initial ideas and businesses on the cutting-edge of technology. This will be a hands-on learning experience where you will contribute to many of the crucial activities involved with starting and running venture-backed startups, including exposure to product sprints, ideation sessions, customer interviews, and business planning.

Our internship runs for ten weeks over the summer for 40 hours weekly. We expect interns to operate in-person with our team in Seattle three days a week, with the option to work remotely two days a week. Upon acceptance, you will be paired with a specific partner on the MVL team and will report directly to them.
