At MVL, we hustle and meaningfully guide new founders as they make the leap into startup adventures. Life here is fast-paced, challenging, and a whole lot of fun. As an intern with our team, you’ll get a seat at the table as our team scales out initial ideas and teams on the cutting-edge of technology. This will be a hands-on learning experience with many of the core activities involved with running a startup, including exposure to product sprints, ideation sessions, and business planning.

The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker, analytical, data-driven and has the ability to influence through respect and trust who can work 40 hours weekly on Pacific Standard Time either remotely or in-person. Upon acceptance, you will be paired with a specific partner on the MVL team and will report directly into them.

Responsibilities

  • Develop scalable, fast, robust, and simple SaaS solutions in collaboration with the MVL team.
  • Work with teammates to turn customer feedback into live features.
  • Participate in regular meetings and activities with the MVL core team and our founders.
  • Contribute to competitive analysis and initial product-market research.

Qualifications

  • A Junior, Senior or Graduate student actively enrolled in an accredited Computer Science program (only open to students who are set to graduate in 2024 or 2025).
  • Experience in in Javascript and or Python.
  • Understanding of data structures and algorithms.
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills; able to successfully engage with startup CEOs and venture capitalists.
  • Self-starter who thrives with problem-solving and embraces ambiguity.
  • Intense intellectually curiosity about emerging technologies and the entrepreneurial ecosystem.
  • Available to work 40 hours per week for at least 10 weeks during the summer.
  • Previous internship experience is strongly preferred.
  • Individuals located in Seattle are preferred; open to US-based candidates operating out of Pacific Standard Time.
